I love painting seascapes, so I thought I'd get back in the groove again. Here's a scene of waves in the channel from the ships as they cruise by. They can get pretty big up to 5'+ in the Intercoastal Water Way at low tide. In fact there's guys that run Surf Trips. This view here is looking towards the Gulf of Mexico, an early morning break in the weather on the rocky shores on the East end of the island. The waves can get big all of sudden as the shoreline is quite steep.
