Lot of rain today. But that doesn't mean it's a bum day to paint on a rainy day. Those days can be fun as the scenery does change and colors and values also. In fact, trees sag on a rainy day especially when they get soaked. Things become a little darker when wet.
For some reason I kind of like poems lately. In college I studied John Keats as part of studying poetry in one of the English Lit courses. I wasn't in to poetry but I did find it interesting to study then and learning about who Keats was. I do remember one thing, he died very young do to an illness.
Had some time to paint outdoors today but under the cover of the porch as it rained for quite some time. A view just off the back porch where I sweep my shavings from working on woodworking projects. I didn't realize this until now but the concrete block shown I have sitting there has sunk over time and sort of inspired the poem below.
Ever wish you had time to go to the beach on your lunch break. Yeah me too. For those vast majority who aren't five minutes away from the beach here's a view for you. Don't wonder off to long you just might call in sick the rest of the day.
